Other SPI Clears

Of the SPI clears, I have only used Universal. It is the best clear I have ever sprayed in the 35+/- years I have been spraying. I have been using it for my high end work for a long time but have now dialed it in for my collision work. I can go with very slow for an overall in July and use fast to deliver a quick collision the same day. Even baking at 120 deg F works pretty well when it needs to go. Anyway, in your opinion, am I missing out on anything not using some of the other clears in the SPI line up? What are the advantages of some of the other clears? I guess I'm asking what's the difference? I know mixing ratios but what's the advantage of say the Euro 2020? Is it just a cost issue?
 
I for some reason can spray the Euro out of the gun a good bit smoother for some reason. Not sure exactly why. I use it on about everything.
 
The only other clear I'll mention is the pre-mixed spi matte finish. If you need a matte to semi gloss finish, a factory mixed product will be more consistant than adding flattner. been using for wood & fiberglass doors at work.
 
I also use the Euro Clear on a collision work and high end repairs and think its a bit harder then UV for collision work , both are excellent clears. So yes take a look at Euro clear and also note the price.
 
There is no wrong answer on this question, so its a matter of style of painter as to what clear works best as well as plumbing and type of booth makes a difference.
Crashtec, is an expert on this subject as i think he has tried all of them different ways to fit his conditions.

How is the UV resistance of Euro 2020 versus Univeral? I usually three coat universal. 3 coat Euro as well? Other input? I assume I can blend the hardeners for the Euro? So I could buy a 5101 and a 5103 and cover it all, fast, slow and mix to get between? That's what I do with Universal. I buy only normal and very slow. Thanks for your feedback. Crashtec, you out there? I'd be interested in our feedback too.
 
I'm gonna go out on a limb here and say that there is no UV protection worries in ANY of the clears!

The 2100/5100 clears have two UV additives in them, the Universal has an extra one making it even more durable.

Maybe Barry can expand on that, I remember a mention of a special additive that acted like an umbrella sort of thing making it very effective.
