Pads For Waxing

I painted my car with base coat/clear coat about six months ago and I think it's time to get some wax on it. I'm looking for advice on what pads are best to apply and remove the wax. I'll be using a 7" DeWalt buffer.

I use black foam, I normally just use a black foam hand pad I have. I get sick of holding a machine to just spread product but that is personal preference. To remove I use a high quality microfiber cloth.

I still wax by hand, with straight carnauba*. Microfiber towel on, different microfiber towel off.

*Carnauba has to have some slow solvents in it to work, so there isn't really any such thing as straight or pure carnauba that can be applied to a painted finish. Mainly what is to be avoided is silicones, ceramics, polymers, or anything like that.

I should have added in my original post that I need surgery to get artificial shoulders so I'm looking for something to use with the DeWalt polisher. Doing it by hand will be quite uncomfortable.

My personal choice for that would be a pack of microfiber bonnets. One to apply, and a bunch to remove, since they can load up with dry wax. There are tons of options out there, but something like this:

Obviously there are a lot of ways to skin this cat.
