Not sure you really need a 2nd fan. You'd want to filter the air coming into the booth to keep it as clean as possible, and common air filters work best when the velocity thru the filter stays low.
2 fans with no ductwork to distribute the air can make for a situation where the air blows in and makes a straight shot to the exhaust fan. This creates a high velocity in one part of the booth while not doing much to exhaust a good part of the space.
I've cobbled together a makeshift booth a couple times in the past with the exhaust fan at one end rather than on the side, and an opening for about 6 20x20 filters on the opposite end, spread out rather than all grouped together in one spot. Worked pretty good and didn't have any drafty areas that I could tell.
I've gotta rig up something for painting in my current garage, and considering a blow thru arrangement rather than draw thru. This will keep the booth under a slight positive pressure rather than the negative pressure you get with a draw thru. It prevents having to be so meticulous with the sealing at joints since air will blow out thru any open areas rather than sucking in air and dirt thru the same openings as you get with a draw thru.
