Painting - re order of things

I'm an amateur painter, I've done my other two cars before that turned out fine, but now am close to doing my '67 Camaro body. There will be several steps (underside of floor with base clear, inside of trunk with splatter coat, interior dash and built in window frames in base clear black, top of dash in flat black, and main body in HOK Kandy basecoat.) My main question is what should I paint first and then what order for the balance. The body is on a rotisserie. Thanks, Bill

I did the detail stuff first. Once. Then clear overspray still managed to get in everywhere somehow and fog everything up and ruined my detail stuff. I’m an amateur like you and I paint, then do detail stuff, and then cut and buff the car. Sure, the clear isn’t as soft now but if I scratch it or get some overspray on an exterior panel it can all be fixed during cut and buff.

amateur my ass. shoot the car first then do the detail stuff.

Now you tell me, lol. My detail stuff is done, getting ready to shoot exterior color on the shell. I better be careful with my masking.
