Hello group, I figured I have been lurking long enough my name is Pat and I am a metal shaper and have recently become a painter and I must say spi products are top shelf!!! I will soon be painting a project that is spi all the way through it is just night and day difference compared to ppg stuff, Barry I would have someone taste my food if I were you lol. Here is the little nova that is about ready to paint this is one coat of epoxy reduced 25% and wet sanded with 400 then 600 and wiped down with wax and grease remover to highlight the panel.

And here is a little vw bug I made a nose for so a radiator could go in the front to cool a subaru boxer

I have really enjoyed this fourm and it has kept me out of hot water a few times! looking forward to hangin around.

welcome . cool looking bug. i stuffed a sbc in one many years ago . young , dumb and knew no better. was as scary as an anglia i had . that hood would have solved a lot of problems .

I think painting is easier, but looking at that bug maybe we can learn something here!

Welcome Pat, New here also. Figured this was one of the best places to learn and ask for advice. Followed your link, excellent work.
 
Nice work on that nose, share some tips and tricks when you can, we all share here!
 
Good job on the patch panels, I would love to be able to make my own. Keep posting, your explanations are very interesting.
 
You metalwork looks really good, to bad you are not closer to michigan we could trade some hands on information!

I'm on metal meet. I haven't logged on to that forum in a while now, I can only manage so many forums.. lol.

Chad I am already close when you live in the middle of nowhere its only half as far everywhere I don't get out much lol. I am still getting used to posting pictures here but here is a link to a chopper I built http://www.allmetalshaping.com/showthread.php?t=10359
Some time as soon as I can figure out how to put a post together and have the pictures show I will show a little nova that is all spi products.
