Yeah, I was dumb enough to rescue it, bough it for cheap, it was basically a shell destined to the junkyard. Then bought another one for parts and out of two I finished one, plus the interior of a VR6 one.
They don't look too bad for being a 20 year old car, they're fun to drive too.
The funny part is when this guy asked me "what kind of red is that, what's the paint code?" I told him to look up SPI red online, because well.... there is no paint code for it, he gave me a funny look and probably thought I was being a dick for not telling him what he wanted to hear.

I'm going to vote camera differences as the main problem. Mainly the White Balance setting makes ALL kinds of deference in color saturation and hues. Here is my attempt to show the "real" color of the tinted white base I'm using.

outside in the sun
When I get around to shooting the red I'll try and remember to do this again.
