Prepping 3D printed parts

I have some 3D printed speaker grilles I need to paint. The face is textured, and the edges are glossy. I certainly don't want to scuff each opening by hand if I don't have to. Anyone have any ingenious ideas?

I was thinking that may be the way to go.

I've never blasted or painted a 3D printed plastic piece.

what type of plastic is it printed in?

Um not sure, either is the customer. Going to do a float test to see if adhesion promoter is needed

Put some acetone on a rag and rub the backside. If it bites nto the plastic or yougwt some black on the rag then just spray it. No prep necessary
