Question for Barry

Do you think I can use SPI epoxy over this product."RUST DESTROYER" (link below) It's a single stage red oxide primer the owner used it on some slightly rusted chassis parts and wants me to spray them with black SPI epoxy. Un sure if theres any thing that may cause a reaction, i.e. acid. Thanks, Craig ...Go to their technical data sheet for info.....

Sure you can but it won't last as the epoxy can only do so much and band-aids like this should be left for used car work where you will never see the car again.
If this car is yours or has a value, spend a half a day with an 80 grit DA and get the stuff off.

wait for my up and coming post and I will show you 1st hand why you should never ever use anything like that or especially POR-15, EVER!!!!

I will be looking for this one. Try to tell people all the time to stay away from gimmic products but they always come back with the old friend of a friend who used it and got great results line.

I used poo15 because they are in every car magazine, and booths at car shows/fairs. Thought that was what you're supposed to use when restoring a car frame. It was a nightmare, I have a great horror story. RUN AWAY! Next I used PPG $$$. Then someone on another forum pointed me this direction. SPI is now the only product I will use.

First time I used poopoofifteen, I missed my window of opportunity to spray the second coat by only a couple hours. The second coat beaded up like water on polish.
