Questions on painting axle/hubs

I'm getting ready to paint my axles (they're both off the truck) and was wondering if I should shoot it with epoxy primer first before painting? And what paint should I use? I have used epoxy primer for my frame earlier this year from SPI and have some left over. Would it still be good? I've kept it in the house the whole time. Also, I have removed the rear hubs so should that be painted the same way as the frame and/or axle? Thanks for any help, appreciate it.
 
Sounds good, after epoxy, what paint? I know there are a lot of opinions on this. Is there one brand of paint I should avoid? Thanks.
 
If you want it high gloss black, I would use the SPI 2K Black #4201, otherwise, most any good 2K Urethane will be fine. Just stay away from the cheap stuff, POR15 & Rustolium.
