Mopar Nut
I have the can and I am going to sand out some trash in the dark turquoise center of the dash (Nasson SS with 2 coats of UC over it) then shoot it with a rattle can 2k of matte clear. Am I crazy?
Thanks. It was that kind and it did work out fine.If it's the real kind with the button you push and a limited pot life, I'm sure it will be fine as long as you have used it before and know how it will act.
Made in Germany so it must be far-from-nugin or something....I didn't even realize this was an old post! Maybe you could post the brand, once in a while a spray can is a handy thing, very little overspray.
I'm hording my SPI flattening agent, sadly I believe it has been discontinued. I suspect it was problematic for Barry because people didn't use it properly and take the time to test for desired results. Correct me if that is wrong.I bought a qt of spi flattening agent a few yrs ago when i was clearing landau & imitation vert top on my 2 caddies.
Still haven't used it (but will) when/if gloss bothers me. They look like i armorall'd them, been 2+ yrs

It worked great for me.
I just bought a qt of SPI flattening agent today from my jobber that still had this last qt in stock..
I saw where someone uses U-TECH 890 flattening Agent on the forum.Just out of curiosity - Would a different brand of flattening agent be compatible with the SPI?
It will work, but you will have to experiment with the amount of flattener. Likely it will take more than the mfr's TDS says to produce results, and the SPI clear or SS should probably be reduced at least a little to bring the solids down to where the flattener can be more effective. Plan for several mixes and sprayouts.Just out of curiosity - Would a different brand of flattening agent be compatible with the SPI?
