Roll on the SPI epoxy primer

Hello all,
I am restoring a 66 VW beetle in my home garage part time as a hobby. My plan is to work on one section of the body at a time, meaning do the dent repair, sand off small section at a time, apply SPI primer and body filler and etc.
So the question I have is, is it ok to roll on the SPI epoxy primer on the section that I am working on instead of spraying it on?
Thanks

Unless the mil thickness is substantially greater than if you had sprayed, follow the TDS on flash times. To gauge that thought, if your application appears on the thick side you'll likely see the same "fish eye" look as if you had sprayed the first coat too heavy...

I have had a bugger of a time with the latest batch of white primer on the Valiant. No matter how light I spray it there are spots that just go crazy with fisheyes.

I have done all three, brush, roll and spray. Personally I would always choose to spray it on since it looks so much nicer, lays down smooth and covers great.

Now if you have hard to reach areas or small crevices, etc., a brush is the better choice as you can control the thickness much easier. That being said, applying with a roller and then smoothing it out with a paint brush is an option.

Jim put part A on Shaker for ten mins.
See if that helps or not; if it does, we know gallon was not mixed well before first using.
If dont help, there are other issues.

The trick to brushing epoxy is time.
Do not thin.
Brush or lay one coat.
Wait min 4 hours for the next coat.
If you rush a second or third coat, it will move the first coat around because the solvents did not have help with the atomization of the paint gun.

I did the window frame on an old vette,
I had orginal glass, and I just pushed it out and had to sandblast.
I brushed a coat sat at 8, 2nd coat at 12, 3rd coat around 6.
Sunday morning, a 4th coat.
About 6 months later, the safeflight glass guy swore it was a new ecoated frame: the key, flash, and only one wet coat at a time.
