Sandblast then Epoxy?

Ok when I was on the phone with a salesman oneday I told him I was going to sandblast then epoxy and he said I should go over it with 80 then epoxy it.. My question is I am going to be epoxying the undercarriage and some parts I may not be able to get with a orbital is the courseness leftover from sandblasting enough for the epoxy to stick or should I go completly nuts on the bare metal and sand like a mad man? Im probably going to blast with crushed glass

Blast and epoxy is what I do all the time on undercarriage parts. Maybe some others will have a better idea but no problems for me so far.

never listen to a salesman . just about any media will leave 80 grit anchor patter. except those for glass.
