Sandblasting to remove Picklex- Please read inside

H

hudson hornet !

I am on a resto project that needs rockers. I have in my possession the panels I need, however they have been Picklexed to prevent rust. I understand that this needs to be removed 100% before SPI epoxy.

I also understand that I am supposed to re-wet with Picklex and then rinse off, however I do not have any more Picklex and do not want to buy another drop.

Can I just sandblast the panels and prep for epoxy? I would assume blasting will remove any traces of acid, but I would like opinions first. Thanks!

go to ace hardware and get a small bottle of ospho. wipe it down then rinse well. repeat once. the ospho should remove that crap .

Thanks Shine, I appreciate it. I would still like to ask, would sandblasting take care of it as well?
