I have found a Satajet 4000B (non digital) for sale. It's new in box. Guy wants $350. Is this is a good gun for a newb ? I've been spraying my SPI epoxy with a cheap gun from Lowes and that has been good. Want to graduate to some actual color at some point. So, should I spring for the gun ? Or wait and get the new gun out (5000)
 
What size is the needle/nozzle? 1.3 would make for an excellent basecoat gun. 1.4 would also shoot base well. If it's not one of those 2 sizes I would be hesitant about getting it because for everything but primer those are the sizes you need. You can get a needle nozzle set for that gun but that would set you back $300 minimum. If it is a 1.3 or 1.4, $350 is a heck of a deal. Even if you didn't like it you could get your money back and then some by selling it on Ebay.
 
It's a 1.3 . I don't know guns. It appears to be a good deal. I'm just making sure I'm not missing something.
