Shop truck project

Chad that looks awesome brother.. Amazing difference from where you started.. That universal does look awful purdy too :cool:
 
Looks awesome Chad. Now send it down my way and I'll try it out on the roads of Washington D.C. and I can use it to tow my chevelle and mustang around. Great work.

Ahhh, beech bend, i've been there for a show/ truck diesel shootout.. Wonder if he was there when I was. Truck looks familiar. Don't think i'll be getting that carried away... :)
 
TS Performance always has an event around the first weekend of May each year at Beech Bend and I've ran that track dozens of times during those events, though I haven't been since 07.
 
It amazes me how many times i've heard of this place after I attended the show/drags. They must keep pretty active!

This picture got me excited for a second...the vertical wall lights make it look like you added chrome exhaust stacks to the bed. :cool:
 
Chad, did you use a wand with an undercoat gun? I had to reduce it quite a bit when I did this, maybe 50% or so.
 
just used a walcom undercoat gun, the back side of the rocker had big enough holes that it could be sprayed in pretty good, 4 on each side too. Didn't have to reduce it but was definitely not shy with it.. I figured this was about the best form of rust prevention i could get. Thin enough to seep down in also.

wondering if i should go back in with the normal rust proofing I use, not sure though as it stays waxy, wonder if that is worse and catches more dirt because of it?
 
thanks king, still a bit to do, but i'm in absolutely no hurry.. a little anxious that it's getting close but i'm making it a point to buy wheels and tires last so I can at least say it's finished before I start driving it.. lol

I had to die the lower valance black to, i couldn't handle the grey, it stands out like a sore thumb.. imo
 
Running into a problem with the power steering, fluid is dumping out of the cap, and i'm loosing my power steering and brakes. I don't know if the pump is bad or if something could be backed up somehow. Anybody have a issue with this or know of a fix.
