Solvent sprayer recommendation needed

Has anyone had long-term success with Viton o-ring sprayers and 700? it's starting to look like the only long-term solution for 700 is an HDPE squirt bottle and woven towels.

I figured out that I could put a small amount of W&G on the panel and then evenly spread it with a gloved hand rather than a towel. This helped conserve material.

Viton is no good. Get a sprayer meant for acetone. Do a google search for oring compatibility and you will find charts that show you what kind of rubber seals you need for different chemicals. I have had 700 in a smith acetone sprayer for years. They are cheap for a pump sprayer and work great.

I tried this Smith Sprayer on your recommendation and had to return it:
Smith Performance Sprayers 190398 T100ACT
(Featuring EPDM seals for Acetone chemical resistance)

I sprayed 700 through it to clean a small hood, spraying about 2-3 Oz in total, and it did an excellent job. I left the 700 in the sparser, and three days later it would not pump up/hold pressure again.

As mentioned above, I ran a gallon of acetone through the ZEP sprayer without issues. The 700 attacked it after about 20 trigger pulls. I'll get the chemical-resistant ZEP spryer and try again.

Could the alcohol in the 700 be a factor? (I don't think it is)

Hmmm thats very interesting. I have 3 or 4 of them here and while i agree that they are not the greatest quality, mine have done the job for 3-4 years now. No swelling and they pump up great every time. One has pure 700 in it and the other is a 3:1 mix of acetone and 700

Maybe I got a dud.
Out of curiosity, what is the purpose/benefit of the 3:1 Mix?

ahhh that is a vinyl prep solution. you spray it on azek or versatex before painting it with this waterborne paint i use. it slightly softens and opens it up so to speak so it will accept paint.
