SPI 870 REDUCER SHELF LIFE

I am thinking of buying a 5 gallon pail of SPI 870 reducer to have on hand so I don't have to get in a pinch as I have before but I don't want to buy it if I would lose several gallons because of sitting around for a while. So what would be the shelf life if I open the pail say January first? I appreciate your time and advice.

A long time, if you are diligent about replacing the cap immediately. What can eventually happen is moisture contamination, which can be spotted by shining a light into the bottom of the pail.

We're not set up to send a pail with ups or FedEx because we never had a 5-gallon box made.
So jobber orders where going freight line is no problem.
So in the past, individuals wanted the 5-gallon pail; we ship in gallons and charge the 5-gallon pail price.

I did not realize this was current practice, but I will ask next time around because every penny counts these days.
