SPI Red question

I was at the Chevrolet dealer and saw a new 2011 Corvette zo6..nice car! How close is SPI red to the new vette red? thanks guys, Dan.

Depends what red, if its the bright red, torch red, flame red, within a shade.
If it is the $800 option red, not even close.

What's the $800 option red look like?..is it brighter? pearl? The red I saw was an extremely bright red with a little orangy tint to it.

Corvette has a orange that's called "Inferno Orange" and in low light conditions
it's often confused for red. could be what you saw.

SPI Red is the chit....it is for any car and no mix is better...it is next to holiness....next to godliness...next to ben and jerry's....next to chocolate...next to your best night with whoever, whenever...next to heaven...next to a Bugatti...next to Bill Gates' wealth...I think it really is a decent red...

I know that Barry is not looking to get back into the basecoat biz again, but..........if Viper Red is back, it seems that black should be in the lineup as well. Black is one of those basic stock colors that every paint maker should have :)
Any plans to add another color? thanks.

Not Viper red but SPI red because of screaming and bodily threats. LOL

Black takes a lot of milling time to make black black and we lack the capacity at this point, I was negotiating on a real nice mill back in January and I just did not feel they were giving me a good enough deal to buy, so I ordered an additional filling machine that is suppose to be done 5/6 for activators only and will take a batch fro 6-8 hours with three guys down to 1.5 hours with one guy or 1 hour with 2 guys.

Current project is moving the three phase, so we can start the addition and the wiring is very expensive, so mill machine may be looked at around fall again and we will see how bad that company wants to sell one at that time.

This mill doesn't require 3 phase power -
