SPI Single Stage White

I have a couple questions on a car respray using SS black. I have heard recommendations to use 50-50 reduced single stage with clear in the final 2 coats. I assume this is primarily for UV protection. If I will be color sanding, will the 2 coats of clear/paint mix be enough?

Also, the 50-50 SS/Clear will be a bit thicker than the SS alone. Should I slightly raise pressure when spraying those coats?
