Spraying Polyester Primer?’s

I am spraying Poly for the first time and need a few pointers.
I am using Evercoat 4-1 high build and picked up a Vaper 2.0 gun to spray it with.
What’s a good starting pressure at the wall and will the 2.0 tip need any reduction?
One coat or two?
Any other tips for me?
Thanks!

I have only sprayed the G2 and Slick sand not the 4-1 yet. My experience G2 does not need reducer, slick sand does. my gun has a 2.0 tip. Use your own discretion on air pressure and how you want it to lay down and fill. The 4-1 is the highest building of the three poly's 2-3 coats depending what you are trying to do with it; this stuff is sprayable body filler. My experience with the two i have used and i love them both! Give it 24 hours to dry and very lightly take the top off with 80 grit then use guide coat and start with 120, reminder it can NOT be wet sanded. It does sand prety hard at first.

You will need Acetone on hand to easily clean the gun or thin the poly primer. (Check your tech sheet to verify.)
Remember this stuff is like filler in a spray gun, it chemically hardens whether you are ready or not. Make sure to mix it properly and only what you can apply before the set up time.
