still got the runs

I finished Painting last week, and had quite a few runs in my clear. I wetsanded them out and went a head and started buffing. my problem is i can still see where the run was in the clear its just a wave in the reflection. Is there anything that can be done about this? do I need more sanding or what? Thanks

I see that this one was left for me to answer, simply because I have so much experience trying to remove them things. LOL

Quite simply, Yes, it will take more sanding to get the clear flat. I usually will use a piece of paint stick as a sanding block, to try to keep from cutting anything but the run.

In addition to what Aaron posted, you have to make sure there is enough clear, and try sanding the run with 600 just a bit before the finer grits. Shine puts tape over the run so that the coarse scratches will be confined to the run itself, I need to try that.

2 in tape and 320 wet . when it's flat take off the tape and smooth it down with 600 then move on to cut and buff as usual .
