5 years back I painted the frame of my 95 Lightning with SPI black epoxy. At the time I could not disassemble the truck any further so I left the rear end and the leaf springs in it. The leaf springs caught a good amount of overspray as I shot the frame.
Fast forward to this weekend where I have moved the truck to the garage from the carport where it was stored in until I got it running. Now I have the rear end and leaf springs out for a full clean up and rebuild. Check out how well the epoxy overspray stuck Not condoning improper preparation, I just think it speaks to what a quality product it is.
This first pic is my favorite, even after hitting it with the coarse wire brush I can't get it off the leaf spring LOL
