Tight spot sanding

I am outside the epoxy recoat window with the underside of a hood, interior fenders, and firewall. They of course have 1,000,000+ tight corners and bends that need to be sanded before I can recoat. Does anyone have any tips on a mechanical way to do it?

Use a maroon scotchbrite to the scuff the epoxy and remove any sheen then you can recoat.

find a helper, a maroon scotchbrite as mentioned above is perfect for scuffing the hard to reach areas. To remove any texture issues those areas will need to be sanded though.

Barry told me to only use 180 grit not a maroon Scotchbrite pad when sanding after the 7 day window but maybe I did not specify the knooks & crannies.

What is a marron pad equivalent to, 400 grit.

Maroon is around 320-400 and is plenty coarse enough for primer on primer

A sanding pen might work in the really tight areas. How did you sand them before spraying?

scotchbrite pad on one of those multi tools should work quite well to get into the mooks and crannies.
