Hi guys thanks for letting another newb to the forum,. I've gotta say thanks for all the help and guidance as i work through my first restoration project on an 87 ss monte carlo, my first car, and ive been able to held onto it.
My question is regarding my trunk lid as the top was hand sanded before i got it and has a decent amount of surface rust. I can sand it down again but it seems like.small amounts of rust are down in some groves should i use something like ppg dx520 and dx579 to ensure its clean before epoxy?
My other question is im already in a hole with the bottom side because it was soda blasted, i was told to do a couple cleaning steps water/vinegar then that dx579 then dx520? Anyone got better advice as far as prepping for spi epoxy.
Thanks in advance
