I need to paint the bottom part of my truck. It has a silver bottom strip and the rest is black. I replaced the cab corners and part of the rockers. My deliema is after I spray the base coats (silver and black) how do I clear them without having a hard line? I have some blending solvent from SPI. My thinking is to sand with 1000 grit up the panel a ways and then spray the blending solvent followed by the clear. Doing this for each coat. Is this right?
I've never did a two tone panel repair before, any help would be appreciated.
I've attached a photo of the area I will be painting.
