I have always sprayed DC5100 on most of my projects. I recently switched to Universal on my current project. I really like how this product sprays! my only question is how is the durability compared to a clear like R&M DC5100? UV protection ect....

So far I am very happy with all of the SPI products! I'll admit I did have to get past the cheap prices, that scared me because I guess Im used to paying out the ass!

There's no UV protection problems with SPI clears, I've shot panels with just one coat as a test and they've been in the elements for 5 years and still look fine. If there's enough uv protection in one coat then 2-3 should last a very very long time.

there are candy job that i have done out there for years with no fading and the clear looks as good as the day i shot it. candies are very prone to fading.

SPI primers and clears have always been top shelf products at economy prices.. Im sure it will always remain this way, and this is just one of the great things about this company...

As for your UV concerns.. U have none sir.. I assure you of this.. You are buying a far better clear than you know honestly!!! That may sound arrogant, but I believe it to be the absolute truth!!!!
