Hey Guys,
Can we Vinyl wrap over epoxy primer ?
I was thinking to wet sand it smooth, to get whatever trash and bugs hit the last coat I applied and wrap the car?
Thanks

You can but my experience with vinyl over epoxy is you will never get the vinyl off if necessary. The adhesive on the vinyl and the epoxy become one.
Thanks for sharing that. Funny, I was worried about no adhesion…. Now I’m worried about too much !!
Will wet sanding or maybe a lite 320/400 sanding of the epoxy change your answer?

I think a lot of time in the sun to guarantee a full cure is likely needed. A month or more?

The guys I have do wraps will only work over a sound paint job, no exceptions. Clear over epoxy might qualify, if it looked the part. I accept that they have their reasons.

Have you done this?
No, I have not done it myself, but there are lots of phone calls that do the clear over epoxy and wrap.
It is no different than clear over base except for the must overnight wait to clear.

I get several wrap questions, but to be honest, I never had a failed complaint and never had a complaint that the wrap was hard to get off pure epoxy.
Done not mean there were no problems, but I never heard.
