Mad Scientist
It's really too bad what happened to the Marson Platinum in price after 3M took hold of it. I remember my first gallon I bought it was almost half the price of a gallon of Rage.
I was using Evercoat Easy Sand for glazing putty, but as Rusty said, it dries out quickly in the bottle, and for over $40 for a bottle it hurts when you have to pitch it. My latest bottle of glazing putty has been Finishmaster Smart putty as mentioned. As far as I can tell it's just like the Evercoat; the guy at the counter didn't know who made it. All I really use it for is sanding out runs, because when you suck like me you get lots of runs
If I got an imperfection in filler or pinholes, the Marson was creamy enough that I could just skim another coat and it would fill imperfections in the filler.
All that being said, I'm just a garage monkey enthusiast, so my opinion is worth about as much as you paid for it.
