Shine, with paint sanded to 3000, do you use the orange pad with v34 or v36? Then finish up with the black pad with v38?

Thanks, Jim

I use orange with v34, green with v36, white with v38. If you have some stubborn areas I use the yellow with v32.

they're pretty proud of them i see. are they really all that?

i prefer it. at 4.6 lbs it makes a difference . to each his own but i will keep my flex and plan to buy one of the new polishers PE14-2-150 . pricey but should be a hell of a tool.
i detest makita tools and most of the rest are 9 lbs or better .

I have been thinking of making the switch to the chem guys stuff myself, 3m is getting out of hand and if shine says its good stuff...... so shine are you using the orange pad for v32-36 then switching to the black pad for your final step????

also I see that they say their courser polishes at least are able to be used with a DA, anyone tried this?? Itd be nice to be able to use a smaller da instead of weilding the buffer around for that first step at least, but then again a DA may not work at all never tried myself??

they have a phase5 compound for da polishing. have not tried it.
i use the orange pad 32-36 the the black pad for finish with 38 .
the site is hard to navigate at first but they do give a lot of detail on each polish. tool to use, grit etc .

order a sample pak for 20 bucks to see if you like it .

when looking at the pads some are polishing pads , some are cutting pads .
