I did white single stage stripes over black single stage and then cleared it on the 70 Z28 above. At least that is my recollection.This thread caught my attention.
My '68 el Camino is planned to be black with white stripes. Want the stripes buried under clear, with no edge.
The stripes seem to be driving the whole paint job.
I started thinking "maybe I'll do it in SS, then paint stripes, then clear over it all...."
But, I think I'll stick with the original plan. Base black, intercoat clear on the hood, stripes in base white, then clear it all.
Seems simpler.
