workflow for painting a two-color combo - red body panels and black window pillars?

Looking at these example photos – can you advise me on how to plan my workflow for creating a two-color combo (single-stage red color body with satin black window pillars). I want to do 3 coats SS + 3 coats SS. What part is done first? Is the red SS first or the black trim/pillars paint? I question myself when the SS red is glossy, and the black trim is satin/semi-gloss. I guess this is covered in the Masking 101 class!

I have always done satin black panels, trim panels/pillars, last. Could be done either way, just don't like masking against flat black. Have seen it leave tape tracks.
