oh wow. i expect the linkage for the a 100 is different and likely hard to find. i have enough trouble keeping the stuff for 70s 80s four barrel trucks here. i have bent up and welded up home made rigs that worked ok, but its a lot easier to just use the factory stuff if you can find it.

I actually found 2 sets Friday... was not expecting that. The linkage from the peddle to the carb is A100 only. The kickdown my friend that it looked like the trucks (that big eyelet thing).

none of it looks like 70s or 80s truck linkage Jim, you lucked out my friend. back iin the 80s, we had several pull a parts around here that are now gone. i wish i had pulled all the simple things i didnt think about back then that are nearly impossible to find now.
you know ya never think about it until your putting one together.

The only good thing about drilling out welds is the last one

Wow, hammer and dolly on 14 gauge needs a torch here and there The dent and 1” bow in the center of the tailgate is fixed. Taking it in to get it blasted with a serious blaster then fab a simple panel and the last metal work on this thing is DONE.

Jim i must say, you give me some confidence that i can do maybe, some much simpler body work.....some day, maybe lol.
on another note, i assume you will run a 727 behind that 360?
i swapped engines in my work truck today and reminded myself of the kick down misery. neither the rod and slide from my truck or the doner is quite right.

Yes all the A100s have 727s. I got a factory kicked down set up last weekend at the salvage yard. It’ll probably need some modifications for the magnum.

Windshield opening fixed (always see how far out (or how far it does not come out) the window seal goes before painting and making assumptions), white cleared in the cab. Just need to do the same to the white on the backside of the front “fenders” and front edge of the doors and the cab will be ready to finish cutting and buffing then assembly can start.

I like the extra effort and detail of seeing the white on the inside edge of the door skin flange.

Jim, i know this is a paint forum, but i am hoping you post pics or the engine and drive train build. details like the linkage too, i enjoy seeing how folks set things up.

Most would call me an idiot for spending 3 days getting the door jambs to look this good but it is the details that take a restoration over the top (actually some would call me that regardless). Worth it in my opinion. I’m DONE painting on the body. Time to finish the cut and buff for the money finish.
