This ain’t no black single stage…

You did an outstanding job! I’m just a hack, but I understand enough to know that was a tough color to lay down. The funny thing is when I see it my brain says I don’t like it, but I swear I just keep staring at it. I don’t know, it’s an intriguing color…

    1969 Plymouth Barracuda Restoration Thread

Looks like you are doing that car justice! It’s one of my favorite Mopar body styles, what’s going to be the drivetrain?

    Chad.S

Just wanted to give some props to Chad and his crew. It’s nice, if you live in the middle of nowhere, to be able to pick up the phone and order base coat that you’re confident is probably going to match. Just ordered a Qt. of Motobase GM summit white that matched like factory, and covered in two...

    Help with a blue

I thought the same thing, but Med blue looks to light and dark blue to dark... It’s a cool car, but I would have probably put a angry 340 and a 4 speed in it

    1975 NHRA World Champion Pinto

That’s a really cool old race car! I hope to see it make a pass someday. I love manual trans cars! It will be interesting to see how that 6 performs with some modern clutch technology... Thanks for sharing!!!

    Spraying Polyester Primer?’s

I am spraying Poly for the first time and need a few pointers. I am using Evercoat 4-1 high build and picked up a Vaper 2.0 gun to spray it with. What’s a good starting pressure at the wall and will the 2.0 tip need any reduction? One coat or two? Any other tips for me? Thanks!

    PSA Paper?

I ordered a couple of rolls of Indasa paper on Barry’s recommendation. I like it! I was not thrilled with the backing paper at first, but as I used it, I got used to it. One thing I do like is you can cut two or three pieces at a time for whatever block you’re using. Cuts good, and so far, no...

    Dark waterborne?

Thanks for the replies! It’s just to easy to make a mistake in this hobby, so it sure is handy to come here and get a second opinion. The date code on this was 1/1/18 and it seems to work fine. One thing I did notice was it irritated my eyes slightly I’ll make sure to have a little bit more...

    Dark waterborne?

I just opened a new gallon of waterborne and it’s about the color of tea. It’s a little over a year old. The lid was on tight and stored in my heated basement. OK to use?

    PSA Paper?

Hey guys, I need to order a few various grades of PSA roll sand paper. Just curious as to what brand people are using. I’ve swore off 3M because of the adhesive residue. The 3M is nice as far as cut, but I just don’t understand the adhesive they use. Thanks

Epoxy mixed with reducer only. No part B

Oh man that does suck! The first thing I do with a new container of reducer is write “REDUCER !!!!” on the top of it with a red sharpie. It’s just to easy to grab the wrong container.

    My Jeep Wrangler Truck Project

Anything new on this project? A lot of nice work done so far, it’s gonna be a cool ride! My Son and I always talked about doing a 4 door pickup with an XJ and a Commanche bed, but never got to it.

    Homebrew paint booth questions

Had a couple of friends convert over to Parmeda brand LED bulbs. They bought them from Amazon https://www.amazon.com/LED-Replacement-Dual-End-Single-End-Shatterproof/dp/B01BW516B8/ref=mp_s_a_1_sc_7?ie=UTF8&qid=1529961304&sr=8-7-spell&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=parmeda I was at one shop...

Storing mixed epoxy in the fridge.

You're probably right! I guess they are still laughing their arses off at me I'm sure... 40 oz's of black epoxy makes one hell of a mess

Storing mixed epoxy in the fridge.

Well... It's kind of a moot point now anyway... I got it out this morning to warm up while I cleaned, wiped everything down, and tweaked a couple of spots, I reached for a strainer to fill the gun and knocked it off the bench. :( What a mess!

Storing mixed epoxy in the fridge.

Mixed up a big cup of black epoxy for the final coat in the engine bay, but had to leave it to help out a friend, so I stuck it in the beer fridge... It will have been in cold storage for a little over 48 hrs. Let it warm up and use it, or toss it? Thanks
