gonna be a long weekend!

Hey Jeremy, any reason you sprayed turbo for final blocking instead of more high build?

dont think there is a reason really. I like the turbo because of its curing advantages over the high build, plus its highbuild also. More like the sikkens primer i've used over the years. This is the first car i'm using spi from top to bottom, so the regular highbuild was the first primer i ever ordered. Used some turbo after that and have just had it in the shop ever since.

The 2k highbuild reminds me a lot of the utech p80 primer i've used in the past. thick and good filling, but you gotta give it time to breathe and cure. Not saying you shouldnt do the same with the turbo. i let all my primer sit a good bit in the sun or run the heat on it in the booth...just extra insurance for me knowing the turbo is a little faster.

Thanks for the explanation. That mustang's really come a long way!

thanks! it really has...of course though, as soon as it hits the paint booth it starts fighting me! thats how it goes. should have this thing cleared today.

Looking forward to seeing it in clear. I'm sure it will look slick!!!

dont have my camera with me so have to use my phone, so quality isnt thath great.

Jeremy that looks incredible! My favorite color. What brand of paint did you use?

thanks! sikkens base. sikkens poly. Everything else spi. Epoxy, Turbo HB, Reducer, Universal clear.

Great job, it looks awesome. Looks like the clear came out pretty smooth, not a lot of cutting an buffing for you!

Jeremy,
I noticed you jamed the color then have a picture of the doors hanging with clear.
Did you mount the doors on the body for color then remove them for clear?

Car looks great!

Kevin

no, i kept them hanging in the booth for base and clear. Reason i jambed it was because there is really no good way to paint the hinge post and get it covered good and get the clear on good with the fenders on. I would have liked to paint with fenders off (clear) but these things have fought me every step of the way (aftermarket) Last time i bolted them on that was it. everything was on the car for last coat of base (headlight buckets, qtr panel extensions, decklid etc. We are going to do something different on the hood and cowl screen in regards to the paint and blackout.

Jeremy that looks simply amazing bro.. I mean that really.. Oh man loving it... SLICK and SICK broski..

Now boys.. Thats what I call SEXY!!!!!!!!

Thanks Jeremy,,I wonder how that color would look on a 65 Chevy truck.

lol bk, thanks!

RAC, i think it will look good on a 65 truck. Sometimes i wish the automakers would bring back ALL the old colors.

Is it just me or do other people have a hard time deciding what color to use?
