I'm the 22nd27th
That whole side of the bed, above the body line is an inward curve. It is a pain.As I struggle to block my Mustang's doors, I look enviously at the lack of convex areas on the sides of the El Camino.
Yes, I am. Each time I grab them I feel a little guilty. Because they are awesome (IMO) and I haven't gotten them to anyone else yet.Per your sanding block update video, you should have a set of manufactured completed blocks in hand by now. Is that what you are now using on the El Camino?
Got some blocking done in epoxy and then dealt with an "unexpected issue," that consumed 4 days.
Finally ready to shoot 2K, but the epoxy had been on 8 days, so spent a couple hours scuffing it with 180 gr and got this nice "chalkboard" look.

Then, finally went to shoot the 2K for scratch filling and minor blocking.
I went cheap on a 2.0 NEIKO primer gun for Poly Primer and 2K. Worked great for about a year.
But as I was spraying 2K this time, the fan and material got smaller and smaller as I went. Pretty soon not putting out any material at all.
Dang!
Last thing I needed, with a quart of activated 2K slowly cooking off on me.
So, poured it into a mixing cup, reduced about 10% and then switched to my trusty Devilbiss Pro-Lite 1.4.
Worked great and was able to get the rest of the 2K sprayed.
Now to do final blocking.

Yep. I understand.Final Blocking... Famous last words! I have said in many many times in the past too!
Looks Good. What grit are you blocking the 2k with?Yep. I understand.
Heading into next round of 2K.
Really like having contrasting epoxy/2K colors, Really helps see what's going on.

220 gr mostly.Looks Good. What grit are you blocking the 2k with?
Thanks. To be honest, spaying the primer with a 1.4 probably didn't lay it on as thick as you would need for a final blocking stage, so don't worry too much that the panels weren't straight.
It appeared to block out nice with the epoxy and I don't see too many cut throughs. Again, this is just looking at pictures so its not like any of us are putting our eyes on the real product.
Have you wet the panels down some to really site them in?
