Dawn soap and water wash before wax and grease remover ok?

Come on guys, it's not like you're using an entire 8oz bottle. Still an ounce left to clean something else.

Freedom units are confusing.
1tsp/2 cups = 1.33 oz/gal
1tsp/cup = 2.67 oz/gal
I don't think I have ever even used 1oz of Dawn per gallon, I suppose if one is using cheap dishsoap, it might take that much, but not with Dawn.
Excessive amounts will just make the rinsing harder to do.

The proper amount for cleaning would be similar to doing your dishes by hand. You want it sudsy but not overly so. Like the boys said above a squirt or two into your bucket is plenty.
