Have used the usc poly primer at a resto shop I did some work for. He was very cheap on materials, I wouldn’t reccomend it. build wasn’t any better than 2k urethane and seemed brittle compared to other poly I’ve used. And I’ve sprayed a good many diffrent brands

I bought featherfill g2 off ebay for 99 dollars about a month ago. And a gallon of rage for about the same , a month ago, off ebay. Free shipping, plus tax. Rage was 60 dollars a year ago. I'm about done with rage. Might try 3m platinum plus, I've read good things about it on this forum.

platinum plus is good but if you can find the regular platinum, assuming they still make it, then get that. its actually better. sands much easier. i havent bought filler in years so im not really sure what is even out there anymore.

Poly primer doesn’t shrink like 2k urethane in my experience.

i agree definitely dosent shrink like urethanes do

I agree. I have stayed with the Platinum for years now.
Amazon has it for $80 a gallon but the last one I ordered came with the lid opened.

To their credit, they refunded my money and let me keep it. Was a mess to clean up but still 80% useable product.
