Well, try to have as many light sources as you can around the vehicle. White can be a little hard to see going on the panel.

I held a lamp in my left hand during the spraying of my El Camino. Only one run where I tripped over the hoist arm with finger on the trigger. Sand and respray was all. Lucky though, it was on the rocker panel.

Of course, where I dragged my corrugated supply air hose across the quarter panel, a bit more drastic measure was used.

I’m a big fan of not thinking. Painting single stage white.how bad can it be?
I can tell you that getting consistent coverage with white single stage is tricky, especially if you cut and buff. Four coats minimum. DAMHIK…. :)

Do a spray out if you have any spray out cards….

Suck down a tall boy or 2 and knock the edge off...and don't sweat anything about the process...it's just paint. If u have made it to the stage of spraying paint. Well then you can redo anything up to this point. Anything you have done you can do it again. That applies to much more than painting cars. Good luck.

SS white, Very easy. Like crash said, the second and additional coats can be harder to see but it’s not too bad. Spray Lots of overlap and minimum 4 coats.

Plan your spray order, start from the highest places and move to the lowest places. And urethane retarder helps a lot when doing a complete like that to keep a wet edge of it’s over 80 degrees.

The most stressful part for me is coat four. Because that typically means I’ve nailed coat 3 and it’s beautiful and perfect, so the pressure is on to make coat 4 a winner too and not scrape an arm through it. My paint instructor always used to tell me “control the paint, don’t let it control you. It’s just paint.”

Is whiskey an acceptable substitute?
