Hey all. Great site. Lucky to find it imo. Got a couple of questions re; epoxy. I'm old school, equipment, materials and tactics...willing to update. Painted a slew of cars as well as locomotives and coaches lol..
Bought a brand new repro GTO hood. Looks perfect and has ep on it. So, water based prepsol (700?), scuff red scotchbrite, epoxy, BC/CC? want underneath 60% black gloss. On the underneath there are supports etc. I used to use something like "Jamb it" to soften paint to spray jambs on an overall. Any luck with that under epoxy so I can get all the nooks (as opposed to scuffing)?
All I have is Binks 7's, Sharpe 75's right now. Except for enviromental reasons any problems using those guns? Different pressures for siphon guns listed on material label?
Also old enamel repaint (1990's)water based (700?),sand 180, epoxy, fill, 2k, epoxy (as sealer), BC/CC? Never used an epoxy before. Sounds like GOOD stuff.
I like the folks on here.
Thanks,
Dave
