newbie Mike's thread

meh, i dont think its happening today. with no sun shining on the building, its a struggle to get the panel to 70. i bet if i turn on the fan it will drop like a stone.

you guys that use these torpedo heaters, do you paint with it running? i am just slightly concerned with the flammability issue.....

I turn mine off before spraying.
I also burn diesel .
yeah, i have been, just concerned about maintaining temp with heaters off and fan on.
mine both will smoke with fuel.............i went and got 5 gal of k1 this morning, 8 and change a gallon, wow!

a swift kick in the ass? or a bigger heater lol
it aint bad, sun finely came out. waiting for first to flash off.

Those are great suggestions, I'll use them for next year.

This year I was going to get you a camera so you can post progress pictures :)

We like progress pictures.

i have got to slow down. i have two sags in near the same corner as last time.
is there any thing i can do before another coat?

well thats that. last coat looks way better, i adjusted pressure and fluid down a little bit. i need practice.
our body work is not perfect either..........mr Jim makes me look like a one arm blind man lol.
i believe we are done with the body for now, we gonna start on the cab. i believe a sealer coat and top coat will happen this spring, unless we have a warm spell once the rest of the work is done.

If you plan on it sitting for a while epoxy is the only way to do it. When you are ready to start again scuff sand it and go from there. Epoxy will not absorb moisture

i had planned to only use epoxy for the whole refinish........however i see my body work sucks lol. boy i can pick it apart now thats its all in black epoxy. you can see every little ding and ripple.

unrelated crazy question.....i have painting on the brain. would it be possible to mix the ss black and ss white to come up with a grey?
