Re painting a truck box that has sanding scratches

Ok so sanding away with 600. Got these rock chips that were just painted and cleared over. How do I address these?

Seriously, see if color sanding helps. What's to lose?

I would but the colour doesn’t match the cab. That’s why I’m doing this. Thanks.

I think it might. Give it a try. Use some dry guide coat. Sand it dry so you can see what you’re doing.

Yes I’ll get some. Last project I used black spray can primer ,amazing how it show’s scratches. But it was messy to spray and had to keep masking stuff off The dry sounds much better.

Is this a panel you're going to respray?

If not dab paint into the chip, then dab some clear. Light sand and polish.

So on the rock chip thinking grind out with my dremel and fill with glazing putty?
Is this standard procedure?
