I've used some cheap shit and that fc720 is the only "El cheapo" clear that never shrunk up on me like the Nason and shopline junk. But understand if I care about the project it's getting spi!no Shrink and Wrinkle for me .
. It’s kind of a moot point for me. I can’t get any of the SPI paints or clears here in CA…. If I I ever move I’ll be sure to give them a try. This is my first project so I don’t have anything to compare to but I sprayed the single stage and it went on real easy. I jumped back and said “holy crap, I did it!” Seems nice to me. I’m using the ATX line. I think it’s supposed to be middle of the road line.Probably frowned upon here but I’ve sprayed a ton of Finish 1 fc710/720 clear in my day. Actually kinda like it. And it’s 10 min away if I’m in a pinch. Every company has its pros and cons.
some. None of the paint or clears are compliant.Doesn't spi have low voc stuff?
we have compliant clears in every line..some. None of the paint or clears are compliant.
Here is a partial list of 2.1 VOC products sold by SPI:some. None of the paint or clears are compliant.
LmaoI figured they would be back to painting with brushes in California by now. And getting fined for every drop of material that spills from the can.
Look at the reducer. Is it milky? All of SW basecoat reducers (that I know of) have a stabilizer in them. If it is not completely clear, do not use it. Big problems. As crash said, the US series is regular urethane reducer and would work fine.
That would be too hard on all the homeless folks who like to repaint their tents.I figured they would be back to painting with brushes in California by now. And getting fined for every drop of material that spills from the can.
