Think on the last one it was trapped between the fender liner. Work has us doing pretty cheap repairs on then with not much time.pretty much bag and mask no r&i i really soaped it up with dawn on the one one and I just did after having fisheye problems cleaned ridiculously with wax and grease and water borne no fish eyes this time .Are you cleaning the tires as well? Dealer stuff with tires soaked in Armor-All or other silicone dressing will cause the panel to fisheye. Clean those tires well. Simple Green would work well for that.
Thinking it could leave staining or leave a residue behind? That’s why I was cautious against it. will do that for sureHit the wheel wells/tires with the simple green. I just don't like using it on surfaces to be painted.
Simple Green is not NaOH-based. It doesn’t actually even contain any NaOH.If you’re using simple green, I recommend Castrol degreaser.
They are both sodium hydroxide based but Castrol is much higher strength and can be diluted to any strength you desire. Keep it away from aluminum.
Chemistry is not in my purview, but I’d stay with Dawn, or whatever is recommended, unless is just wasn’t cutting it. No pun intended.
I’ve used isopropyl alcohol on heavier stuff followed by 700 in hopes of conforming to the recommended guidelines. Hopefully
