Solvent pop

Had an issue with solvent pop on my last three pieces, not horrible but it's there. First time this has occurred on my project.

Only difference was higher temperature, 80 degrees and all other work was done at 70ish and not a problem.

Waited 35 minutes between base coats, three total -Nason Ful base 3.5 activated(Only solvent base we can buy here). Sealed with SPI epoxy, hour flash before base and then three coats of Universal with normal activator, 30 minutes between coats.

Any idea what I did wrong---too high a temperature, not enough flash time?
Whats the best way to fix this? Sand it all off and start over I'm assuming?

Not beaten, just a little discouraged:)

Thanks as always.

You did everything right except used to fast an activator, would be my best guess and humidity is usually the the deal breaker when you are borderline between the medium and the slow activator.
This time of year, common call will be i painted three cars yesterday, with same clear and activator, they turned out great and the forth one blew up, then you know it was an increase in humidity.

One other thing that can cause this, is using to fast a reducer in the base, especially the low voc bases.

Thanks Barry.
How do I fix this? Sand to base and reclear? Just enough base to get coverage again or should I be safe, strip it down to sealer and start over?
Thanks

9x's out of 10 the pop is in the upper 25-50% of last coat of clear, so they can be sanded out and buffed.
Bad ones if any can be dabbed or filled with clear and sanded and buffed.

Feel free to call and discuss what you may have going on.

I have a friend that said he used normal act with slow reducer at 85 deg and got pop. My guess is he didn't check the temp of the panel.

Just an update.
I ended up re clearing all three of my problem pieces and had no issues this time. Biggest difference was much cooler temps, 70 versus 80 when I had issues. I'm sure slow activator would have avoided the problem in the first place.....spray and learn :)
Thanks again
