I went from 1000 up to 4k. Took almost 2 hours and it was a small item. I know it's not a product issue. I used wool first then used a couple foam then ended with a black foam.i sand and buff all of it i spray. prob been through 15 gallons now. i sand and buff anywhere from 1-5 days after. i dont feel this clear buffs hard at all. i usually take it to 3000 grit. it doesnt buff as easy as universal but not too far off. the only thing that will make a clear hard to buff is spraying on a humid rainy day. the moisture in the air makes the clear cure rock hard...assuming it was all sanded correctly.
Thank you for the information. I will be doing that for sure on the next bike paint job. Is the clarity still there on clear like the euro and univeralI do it. I do a 4 coat session. It took a little figuring out to get it to work but it can be done. I do the 2 coats sprayed as the tech manual says then wait 20 min or so then do another 2 coats back to back like the first
My line to customers trying to pressure me is this: My name goes on every paint job so I will not be rushed or do substandard work.Only reason I was gonna use it because the customer would like parts right to go riding. I try to explain but they just don't understand

If they don't like, let them get someone else to do the job.
I sprayed a black tank with 2 coats of speed clear. Sanded with 1000 after about an hour, applied decals and put 2 more coats. I love the stuff for parts and pieces.Quick question can you do more than two coats of this clear in one session? . Was looking into it for motorcycle paint jobs for people who are always in a rush?
Totally forgot about doing it that way for doing graphics and decals.I sprayed a black tank with 2 coats of speed clear. Sanded with 1000 after about an hour, applied decals and put 2 more coats. I love the stuff for parts and pieces.
