what causes this? basecoat wrinkling under clear..

Actual metal temp when shot. Yeah you might have an 80 booth,but,if it was "cold" prior to running it in,then shot without a good warm up,that WILL make a difference. Epoxy IS a great "tool" but,like women,CAN be a issue if NOT treated "right":cool: When it comes to epoxy as a sealer,or in general,in COLD times,I ALWAYS allow a little longer flash time.Another ? is,Was another batch mixed and induction time? Just asking the "simple questions" which some how seem to be the culprit. I find that when "things" go wrong,it comes back to something simple I've done wrong or forgot to do in my haste to finish.
Wrinkling only occurs when "something" is still WET which I'm SURE you know.It's like the chick who blow's past you on the street "in a hurry to go NO PLACE" and you end up behind her at the next stop light. Patience IS a virtue and comes with,Well,I'm older and I've yet to "learn" this painting.Once the gun is in hand,It's ON...NOOOO..STOP....AS a good friend of mine said, "Sir,I'm going to have to ask you to CALM DOWN".It's an inside joke but,it DOES work.:cool:
