1966 Valiant for the Other Daughter....

You really need that fine wire and burlap to keep the foam from pushing through the springs, and that 4dr parts car bench seat will have them also. They are spring steel and can be cut to the length you need.
I bought a roll of zig zag spring then cut and bent them to fit my seat, and also used a length of the same spring to tie the others together.

The seats I have had redone at local shops have used a cloth and not burlap so I had never seen a correctly restored seat before thanks!

Same stuff I use.

Weekend score to put factory AC in the daughters ‘66. Road trip up to northern Az to recover great parts from an unmolested ‘66 4 door with factory air and the coveted steering wheel. With side benefits of almost perfect bumpers, factory jack, seat belts sun Visor cores, fresh air duct. And a stop for exchanging some of the slant six specific AC stuff for some 273 specific stuff and a 8 1/4” axle for the big bolt pattern.

Awesome score! Reminds me of the late 80s-90s when I use to raid the local junk yards and comb through the wrecked 2nd gen Camaros looking for upgrade parts. Back when you could bring your tools right in and remove the parts yourself…not anymore…f@$”ing insurance companies

I would have trailered the whole car back and strip it at my leisure, mainly because I'm not that energetic or have 2 friends that know how to turn a wrench.

Not for the price the guy thought the whole car was worth... He is not a Mopar guy and does not understand where the value lies. He thought is was in the sheet metal.... not for a '66 one year only sheet metal and 4 door. I bought this pile for 1/4 of what he would let the entire car go for and _this_ pile is where the best parts of the car are.

Not that way in Taxachusetts. We’re just a bunch of Massholes! ;) You can carry a handgun, but ya need a LTC, issued by the local police department.
When I road my Harley from Arizona to Maine and back last year, I looked up the gun laws in the states I would be riding in, there were only 3 anti-gun states: Illinois, New York and the one you live in.

The seat tracks are going to take some work to get them freed up... All those parts I blasted when it was too cold to paint are now painted. We are having 3 days of perfect weather... they got brought into the house once it cooled down to keep them warm overnight.

Well I don't really want to blast another dash but this one does not have the extra switch hole drilled into it. What's worse welding the hole up or blasting a good dash.. I will just blast the good dash. Took the under dash vents apart to blast and paint... boy this thing has some heft compared to 6 years later where this is just a hyper thin piece of plastic... I don't understand I just painted all the blasted parts where did these come from! More painting and blasting tomorrow...
