Lmao! Thats greati have a large shop vac that feeds my hood . when it's hot i fill it with ice .
yep. bought for just that use . my blasting hood feeds off the compressor through a chiller . drum full of well water and ice .wait a minute, your hood is just fed with a shop vac? Thats where your fresh air comes from?
Can you use an expandable garden hose with that or do you have to have a rigid hose?I use the organic vapor cartridges when I'm spraying outdoors or using aerosol paint in an enclosed space. I was willing to pay $500 for a compressor, $500 for an Iwata gun, $500 for paint and $500 for sandpaper so spending $500 for a Breathecool II supplied air system with a full face mask seemed like a no-brainer (an oxygen concentrator to treat damaged lungs costs $2,000 - $3,000). The hose for the Breathecool system has garden hose threads so I have a pipe with garden hose fittings going through the wall of the garage. I'm breathing the air from ten feet away from the garage and could easily make that even further away.

Could you elaborate on this system, like with pictures of the plumbing from the vacuum to the hood?i have a large shop vac that feeds my hood . when it's hot i fill it with ice .
Do you have to have any noise or air filters in between? Do you think this would work with a face mask instead of a hood?pvc to the exhaust side of shop vac then reduce to a regular air hose fitting .
I used a clear 1-inch vinyl hose from the fitting outside the garage to the filter/blower.Can you use an expandable garden hose with that or do you have to have a rigid hose?
That's geniusi have a large shop vac that feeds my hood . when it's hot i fill it with ice .
thanks Jim. just wanted to clarify that. i understand they will absorb if not in the sealed bag. it just struck me, we dont know how long they have been on a shelf when we buy them.I used cartridges that were prob 6-7 years past the exp date and they work fine. The foil pouch was still sealed
