Stranded Fiberglass Filler

This is O/A fusion welded. I still haven't painted this project yet. What filler would you recommend? I'm hoping that the weld will not ghost through. I now have access to a TIG. Looking forward to trying TIG on patch panels for my current project.

Is it a butt weld? If so, it should not ghost or map thru. Im working on one just like that (Butt Weld) and Im going with metal to metal but I have no prior experience with it so its all new to me.

MX, how did you control the heat when you made that weld? I have a Henrob O/A and I can fusion weld but I get warpage.

OA warps worst, TIG is not so bad, MIG the least. Warpage or distortion is a product of how much time you spend on the panel with the energy source. Consequently, the OA is easiest to work out even though there is more, then TIG, and finally MIG being more difficult because of the weld being "harder", what happens is the molten pool supercools allowing a too large pearlite in the grain structure. More difficult, but not impossible. I am talking but welds too, all with the same zero gap. I chose my method by what machine is not being used by someone else, what machine doesnt have an empty bottle, the cool factor, and by how much I do or not want to grind.

Roger that on OA. I cant even get the torch to the metal without it warping.

Lots of warping! The location of the weld didn't help either. It took quite a bit of work to whip it back to shape. Hopefully TIG on my next fenders will go a lot smoother.
