A woman's project: 1968 Mustang Fastback Eleanor

What size motor is it? Fuel injection staying?
Looks to nice to even think about driving!

Been a while since I've checked the progress, all I can say is WOW !!!!!!! I was starting to get dizzy with all the spraying and blocking but I'm just speechless at how beautiful it turned out. Congratulations to you ALL :encouragement:

Great job!! I was just looking through all the pictures and was inspired to see another girl working on a car.
I have a 1954 Hudson Hornet that I want to start working on soon and now I'm motivated to do it myself.
Thank You!! :encouragement:

Nice! I'm asumming it's at Chads shop by his newest project thread? Glad I helped you with some motivation. You have an awesome team there to help you along Im sure you wont have any problem tackling a lot of it yourself! Looking forward to watching you build your dream car. Good luck!

I sanded any panel adhesive that was on the metal and than used Duraglas filler

Next I went over it with Marsons (now 3M) Platinum Plus filler

When doing the line up of the doors and the the bodywork around them, to you install the door latches and the door post that latch grabs onto? Do you install those funny looking rubber bumpers that are on the corners of the door?

I'm about to do mine, just trying to figure out what I need to install to fit them.

Always love your threads and advice.

We visited Rusty, Brian and Eleanor yesterday. It was the first time since February that we've been down, when only the doors and fenders were painted. Pictures don't do her any justice, she is the most beautiful thing we've ever seen. Seeing her all dolled up was an easy reminder of why we made the 20 hour trip to Rusty and Brian.

To get the hood to close we had to take the top of the intake off and Aaron will change intakes when she comes home

Brian laid out the stripes on the deck lid

I took these pictures with my phone while we were down there. Figured I should share!

Rusty and Brian turn out some exellent work.. That will be the talk of your car scene once you get it home and get it finished up.. Congrats on your car.. It is beautiful!!

Thanks guys. It's been a long road but she will finally be coming home in the beginning of January. She and I have a lot of catching up to do!

If any of you ever have the chance to visit Rusty's shop, you won't regret it. It's worth the trip and certainly worth your time. But you better like mustangs ;)
